Tukumen

The Tukumen are natives of the Tuku Jungle, amber-skinned, mask wearing and zealous in all they do. They are in a constant feud with the other native species of the Tuku jungle: the spiderlike Tslakla. The Tukumen are ingenious hunter-gatherers, with generations of knowledge of the jungle and its wildlife. They know what to hunt, where to hunt them, and how to hunt them. They often employ the toxins of various wildlife (like frogs, snakes, etc) into their weapons to increase their effectiveness, as metalworking is not available to their kind. Wooden weapons are their main combat tools, which once combined with their various traps and poisons are enough to fight the Tslakla and defend their lands. The Tukumen and Tslakla have been at war for ages, many of their kinds forgetting what it is they truly fight for. But those who remember remember well- the Tslakla currently inhabit ancient ruins that were once the ancestral home of their people, and the Tukumen possess an artifact that rightfully belongs to the Tslakla. Unfortunately, neither of these people groups understand each other due to their obvious anatomical differences, plus a major language barrier, so no diplomatic resolution will be reached, at least for a long time. Logistically speaking, the Tukumen are the most likely to defeat the Tslakla if the war’s current trajectory continues, as they actively participate in trade with other people groups, and majority of Legere’s residents view the Tslakla as monsters rather than sentient beings.
