Fafnia (Faf-ne-a)
The first of the two draconic nations. located in the southernmost landmass of Eternity. A history deep rooted in divine magic. Thier Pillar Warriors protect every border, temple, and city. The home of Matrias.
Structure
Fafnia is a monarchy. The royal family rules the nation without dispute.
Culture
The draconic nations both have a very similar culture. They both believe that one must be able to defend themselves to truly contribute to society.
Public Agenda
Their ultimate goal is to receive all the knowledge that Tilliat, or Matrias can bestow.
Assets
Their strongest asset is their Pillar Warriors. The divine soldiers that protect Fafnia, it's people, and it's beliefs.
History
It was founded after the mass exodus from the old world to Eternity. Only half a century later, it broke into a civil wat. This war tore the nation in two, and formed the second draconic nation, Dogarus.
Demography and Population
The population of Fafnia is spread out in the way one would expect. The cities are next to bodies of water. Citis along the border are walled, and guarded, etc. Most draconin born do survive to adult hood. On average, for every two draconin that dies, three are born.
Territories
Fafnia occupies the eastern part of the southernmost landmass. It used to occupy the whole landmass, but a civil war turned Fafnia into two separate nations.
Military
The primary military force is the Pillar Warriors. The pillar warriors are a group of divine draconic warriors called Templars. This unit is divided into three tiers. The first, second, and third pillar. The first pillar is the wartime offensive unit. They snuff out any and all threats to Fafnia, and its people. The second tier protects the security of the borders, and the cities, serving as a military-police force. The third pillar protects the royal family, and all religious temples within Fafnia's borders.
Not just any templar, or prophet can become a pillar warrior. Only the most powerful can enter their ranks. They must bridge the gap between the mortal realm, and the divine, like a pillar, between the ground, and the ceiling. If one does become a pillar warrior, they are treated with the utmost respect. Addressed with your full name, and your pillar (e.g. Sudea Haedros, templar of the first pillar). On more formal occasions, they are addressed by their divine power as well. (e.g. Sudea Headros, templar of the first pillar, deciple of Arotha).
Before each battle, a Pillar Warrior must recite an oath. This oath goes as follows, "With pride, I bear my weapon, as they are symbols of Fafnia's might. With joy I bear my armor, as I give the gift of my life for Fafnia. With humility, I bear the Fafnian insignia, as it represents something much bigger than myself. With solidarity, I bear the symbol of *insert holy power here* as they give me the power needed to protect my people"
Religion
Throughout Eternity, there is common consensus on how everyone came to be. They know they were made by Deos. The main difference is the lesser figures that make up their religious circle. The main lesser figures are Horoth, and Arotha. Both died on the old world to save the refugees going through to the new world. They earned their place among Deos. They are worshipped as saviors of all draconin.
Foreign Relations
Fafnia has frequent trade with the dwarven nation of Midor. Most of the trade consists of theorium. Through one draconin man's marriage, and friendships, Fafnia is allied with both Dogarus, and the elven nation of Brimbaria.
Laws
Other than the obvious, the laws of Fafnia are more of an honor system. Instead of one sin tainting the bloodlines reputation, it has to be repetitive through multiple generations. The only way it could taint the entire bloodline, is if that one action effected the entire nation.
Agriculture & Industry
As draconin are carnivorous, any farming is done with animal husbandry. There are many animals that provide meat in Eternity. One such example is hte six legged pecras.
Trade & Transport
The main trade rout is a strait between Fafnia, and Midor. This strait is called Dares pass, as only the foolish would attempt to sail through its currents. They soon discovered a way to safely do so. It became the main trade rout from Fafnia to Midor, and vice versa.
