Berroc Saxon

The Loyal Saxons

The Saxons arose when the ancient gods made the first people from trees.
They walked with the gods and have interbred with the great and small among them.
The gods made people to have allies against the giants and subterranean forces of Nature.
They made different tribes of people so they would compete with each other to manifest the virtues that make humans great.
Humans are beings of “courage, individuality, loyalty, and honor.”
As say the myths of the Saxons.
In the days before Vortigern and the great invasion of Saxons, there was the Berrocinga.
A Tribe of Saxons, hired by the famed Stilicho to defend the British throne against all invaders, swearing upon both their Old Gods and the White Christ. In the lands they were given, King Berroc's folk kept that oath even as Rome collapsed, even as King Constantin rose to unite the isle. And for generations, they've kept that oath to the crown, in ill times as well as in times of fortune and to each king, they've renewed their vows.
The new people settled in the hills near the Thames Valley, quite near the city of London.
To this day, the Berroc Saxons defend their home, and have wed within the Briton ranks many times. They now ride like the Britons and fight equally as fierce against the new Saxons that followed them to British shores. And while they fought against the Pendragons during the March, they have served with just as much favor against the tide of Saxons, Jutes and Frisians that have threathened the new Kings of Britain.
