Bane
According to Adonael, Bane ranked amongst some of the strongest deities in the upper planes. The main source of his power came from the material plane, where the majority of his devout and inadvertent followers carried out deeds born from anger, mistrust, and terror. When the houses of Legalaia and Anstigar united and brought the Kingdom into an era of peace, one of the largest sources of power for Bane was lost. This caused Bane to lose rapport with some of his celestial equals. Bane kept an eye on the Kingdom during its early years. When the King and Queen celebrated the birth of their first son, Iskander, Bane set in motion a plan to spark conflict in the Kingdom yet again.Iskander
Adonael was sent to the material plane, where he found my newborn brother and bestowed upon him the curse of Bane. An undetectable curse, Adonael explained it was merely the inception of dark thoughts and desires within the infant that would grow alongside him. The intention was for the boy to grow, succeed to the throne, and plunge the Kingdom back into an endless war of families and clans. Thus providing Bane with a significant source of power once again.Royal Decree
The boy grew into a fearsome and powerful young man as expected, with hate and anger at his core. But unexpectedly, the curse worked too well. The Royal Family saw this darkness as a threat to the Kingdom and so enacted a change to the heirship, such that Iskander would never have succeeded to the throne. It was at this point the young Iskander fled the palace in self-exile. He spent weeks travelling the Kingdom in disguise, committing heinous acts under the cover of anonymity.Banehold
It was during this time that Bane realised an opportunity, he understood his own foolishness of wanting to be powerful enough to become equal with his celestial peers once again. When instead he could forge the boy into something that would rise Bane to the highest of celestial echelons. Adonael was sent to retrieve Iskander from the material plane. Upon Iskander's arrival in Banehold, Bane began to forge the boy into something more powerful, comparable only to Bane himself. This process took a while but the boy was soon ready to return to his Kingdom and create an army.New Purpose
Iskander would need an army of loyal followers the size of a Kingdom, not only to increase his power but also to put Bane's grand plan into motion. For Bane plotted to wage war across the planes of existence. The larger the war, the more powerful he could become. Iskander would subdue each plane one by one, creating more and more followers of Bane. Allowing his power to increase exponentially.Adonael
Shortly after learning of this plan, Adonael left Bane's plane fearing what would become of the universe should his grand design come to fruition. Many celestials and gods, took no heed to Adonaels warnings. They underestimated the strength that Bane could grow to. That was until he communed with the Goddess Eldath, who held familiarity with our Kingdom and could already sense the darkness spreading.
