A Biography of the First Royals

...after which came the union of the two clans. Aritor Anstigar wed Rosaline Legalaia to become the first King and Queen of the new Kingdom.
In the following years after the union, the couple were quickly blessed with five strong children. First came Elaquinara, a beautiful Princess and the only daughter the pair would have. She was followed by the birth of Iskander, the first born son, Prince of Legalaia, and heir to the throne. Meyil was born the following year becoming the second Prince of Legalaia. Ulit was born two years after Meyil, and was shortly followed by Daimr, becoming the third and fourth Princes of Legalaia respectively.
The royal Princess and Princes grew up learning and observing many of both clans customs and traditions, many of which became traditions of the Kingdom.
Despite King Aritor and Rosalines love for each other, there persisted a deep rooted resentment within the individual families towards the other. The children were often caught up in family disagreements and disputes. Although the Princess and Princes largely remained impartial on account of their parents request, Iskander the first born son struggled to do so, and often argued and fought in defence of his Legalaian (Maternal) heritage.   Historically the Legalaias were militarily stronger than their counterpart, and Iskander had spent many a day training with his Maternal family who are believed to have fed lies, legends, and war stories to the young Prince.
...it had been evident by this point that the Prince had grown increasingly aggressive with each week. By the time Iskander was but fourteen years old he had a reputation for his ferocious fighting style both in training and tournaments.   Iskander's mentors had commented on the Princes disposition towards anger and aggression, and they warned the royal advisors of a dark side to the Prince, one which should be considered carefully.
Records show that several of Iskander's servants were dismissed. Each record details that several servants had been rushed to the infirmary after a violent encounter with each other. Rumors at the time suggested Iskander had manipulated or encouraged the fighting.
Toward the end of Iskanders formative years, he sought training from the greatest warriors in the Kingdom, and by his 21st Summer he had become a master of simple and martial weapons.   After mastering material weapons he began to learn about the mystic ways of warfare, displaying an innate ability for offensive and defensive magics alike.
Iskanders early adulthood was spent carving his name across the tournament fields of the Kingdom. Emerging victorious in all competitions, Iskander soon became known in the lists as The Prince of Blood, for not a single opponent left the field unscarred by their encounter with the Prince.
Since his children's teenage years, King Aritor Anstigar had allowed them to sit amongst the advisory council, intending for them to learn and understand the role of leading a Kingdom, a role they would likely one day inherit.    Fearing Iskander's tendencies to encourage violence, King Aritor found creative means of distracting and removing Iskander from the advisory council, believing it best to keep his Son away from the ruling of the Kingdom.
Iskander was often the outcast of the five siblings, however he maintained a strong bond with his brother Meyil despite their polarized behaviors and personalities.   Meyil was kind hearted, well learned, and during his early adulthood had become the first Sorcerer to the Royal Court of Legalaia.
There are many contradictory claims as to why King Aritor laid plans for a new tradition of selective heirdom. Some accounts posit that Princess Elaquinara argued strongly in the Royal Court for the right to be the rightful heir, given her seniority in the court and first born status.    Other reports of the time say that King Aritor feared for the safety of the land if his heir, Iskander, ascended to be King.
