The Kingdom of Ivine

Located in the eastern Westlands. Ivine was once the northern realm of the Alliance Kingdom Unsard. Unsard offered many slave soldiers to it’s ally the Alliance Kingdom Vorath during the War of the Fallen King. Among these soldiers was a slave named Krit Meyrhl. Meyrhl proved himself an amazing warrior and soon caught the eye, and later friendship, of both King Terrak of Vorath and King Alderray of Leet. Believing Meyrhl wasted as a slave, King Terrak purchased Meyrhl’s freedom from King Nilliard of Unsard. Upon the end of the war Meyrhl used his spoils of war to purchase the freedom of many of his comrades, with the intent to continue doing so. Upon learning of this information, King Nilliard made a proclamation that no further slave who fought in the War of the Fallen King was to be sold. This infuriated Meyrhl and his comrades, as well as many of the slave soldiers, which led to revolt. After four years of war, and with both sides trapped in a stalemate, a treaty was signed and a new nation was born. Krit Meyrhl “The Slave King” and “The Warrior King” was named King of Ivine. The capital of Ivine is a massive wooden fortress city named “Freeman’s Rest”. Slavery is outlawed in Ivine and should any slave traders be foolish enough to travel through the borders of Ivine they will soon find their lives forfeit. The majority of the Alliance Kingdoms view Ivine as a nuisance or a blight and would like nothing more for the little kingdom to be wiped away. The only kingdoms who harbor no ill will towards Ivine are Leet, who Ivine has close ties with, and Vorath, who remains neutral towards Ivine due to it’s strong ties with Unsard. Ivine has no knighthood, but relies on it’s own militia to protect it’s borders.
