It is said the High Dragons will reawaken, and soon the Fourth Age, the Age of Man, will come to an end. The Kin, the Essanti, and the Vork were all broken, so if history is any indication Man will be next. Much like the Ages before them it is questioned if any of the races will survive, and if so who will rule?   The races are splintered across the land...   In the Midlands, The Grand Republic provides peace and security to it's people. The Grand Republic is filled with fertile lands. It is a nation comprised of 8 High Cities, and governed by a senate, while defended by the Orders of Flame and Sphere. The Grand Republic is a beacon of what mankind can achieve through diplomacy and teamwork.   In the Westlands, 9 ancient kingdoms have formed an Alliance to defend one another from outside influence or invasion. A hard land to live in, desert and mountain folk struggle to survive. Here only the strongest thrive, while the weak are devoured. The Alliance is a testament to what mankind can achieve through strength and force of will.   In the Northlands, only 2 nations exist, 1 ancient and 1 still growing out of infancy. The Garuda Empire, while young has proven a force to reckon with. The ancient kingdom of Serulia welcomes all who would practice in the forbidden arts of the spheres. A dead land, covered in ice, ruled by an undead king, here only the most cunning, cold-hearted, and ambitious will survive... well after death. Anyone foolish enough to enter Serulia never leaves without paying a price. Serulia is a threat to what mankind can achieve through ambition and a thirst for power.   In the Southlands, exists the Seradii Empire, an empire unlike any other. Worshippers of pain and loss. Soldiers who thrive on brutality. The Seradii enslave all who oppose them and conquer any before them. The only thing preventing them from continuing their conquest is the Great Seal, should it fail...woe to any who crosses their path. The Seradii Empire is an example of what mankind can achieve through discipline and skill.       ...The Fourth Awakening was halted by the "Eight", but the Eight are no longer here and the High Dragons will only remain dormant for so long...
