Cesseires

Located in the north of the Midlands. Cesseires is known as the “Underworld”. Crime runs rampant throughout Cesseires. Although Cesseires is part of the Grand Republic it exists outside it’s rule. The Dominium are the true rulers of Cesseires and control organized crime throughout the entire Grand Republic. The Dominium are a group of crime lords, which originally numbered 24. Throughout time, assassinations, murders, coups, kidnappings, disappearances, and through other means only 5 now exist. Very few individuals know the identity of these 5 members. Each member leads their own private army. The massive and ancient Coliseum lies in the center of the city while 1/5 of the city is controlled by each member. Disputes are settled in the Coliseum by slaves belonging to the Dominium members. Whichever member owns the current “Champion of the Coliseum” is given overall rule of the city and selects their own agent as the Senate Member to represent Cesseries in Loden. While ruling the city the current ruler may change city laws, but coliseum laws may not be touched. Due to the Dominium’s massive underground network and influence the Grand Council can do little to combat the corruption of Cesseires. The Orders of the Flame have a small outpost only on the edge of the city, and any foolish enough to wander the streets after dark are usually found at the outpost’s entrance, knifed to death, in the morning. The only threat Cesseires faces are the wild creatures of Enillaar, but to the dominium they are merely more fodder for the arena.
