Mortara

Mortara is a small village along the road between Tur-Inan and Malinor in the Berga-Mesi woods. Its main features are the market, where the local population trades supplies with the woodcutters from the surrounding woods, and the Semanius factory that exports wood to Malinor and Tur-Inan.

Demographics

Mostly human, some dwarves and a few halflings.

Government

Ewold Larinus (62) is in name the major of Mortara, but Arkol Semanius who employs nearly all Mortarans is the most influential man.

Defences

A wooden palisade surrounds the village. It keeps the forest and wild animals out. Three guards enforce the law.

Industry & Trade

All locally produced wood is bought and exported by the Semanius trading company.

Assets

It is a simple village. If there is anything of value it will most likely be in Semanius' house.
The local inn 'Berkan's hoekje' has a couple of guestrooms.
