Latinia

Latinia is roughly based on Europe during the early period of the Roman empire. The country is relatively civilized and inhabited mainly by humans, and to a lesser extend dwarfs. The northern lands belongs to warrior tribes of more varied species. For generations the country is ruled by the imperial family. There is political and economic stability. The roads between the cities, governed by the houses loyal to the emperor, bustle with trade. The people are content and overall enjoy their lives. Now, the peace is threatened. Everywhere in the empire unrest rises. Voices, or worse, arms are raised against the ruling houses. Will the emperor be able to turn the tide or will the country be drawn into a bloody civil war?
