Depths of Thessard

Leviathan
by Kydra_Hunter via MidJourney AI
Deep below in the depths of the Oceans of Thessard, there is said to be a leviathan. It is long and dark, it slithers through trench and trove. On stormy nights, sailors beware, for if they are caught in a storm the leviathan may take it undertow. None have ever seen the beast; they only ever find what remains after – ships wrecked, and sailors stranded.

“While our ship were goin’ down I swear I seen black scales and a ridged spine comin’ out the wat’r, circlin’ the thing while’s we was try’n ta get away.”- Scraggly John, from the crew of Black Boar Trading.

“I saw glaring teal eyes glowing from afar the night our ship was taken by a storm. They were so blue they glowed in the rain and moonlight like a wraith.”- Captain Nester of the New Haven Imperial fleet vessel, Cressida.

“I heard one ship was crushed by a massive black snake during the last storm.”- Baker Lorence, a baker from the port town of Solaria.

There is only one man in all of Thessard who has claimed to see the beast in all it's glory:

"That's right, I've seen the beast. It was waiting for us in the depths after dark in the middle of a storm. It was long, longer than any ship in the merchant fleet. It's scales were darker than the night sky during a new moon. It's features harsh as the cutting waves they protrude from. The most shocking part of the leviathan is it's eyes. Aquamarine. More blue than the clearest oceans. The embodiment of freedom. Since then, my men and I have been careful not to go out on stormy nights. They make for easy prey."- The Merchant King of Thessard, Zev Kar'ryghan.

I like it, but it left me wanting a little more - the end of the article felt abrupt. Maybe a concluding paragraph?

Great feedback! I honestly felt the same... It's definitely lacking something to finish the entry and should provide either more information or closure
