Obsidane

Obsidane is the Volcanic wasteland inhabited by the Obsidanians and a few Redbourne species. It was once a lush rainforest full of life and home to several species native to the forest. Following the harrying it had become a barren wasteland full of charcoal forests and stone-wood trees dotting the landscape. The obsididanian empire uses this place as its capital. The three great basins are the birthplaces for each obsidanian in the world which is why they tend to stick to obsidane.

Geography

In the western side of the map there is a volcano range called the Roeginares Range where once a century both volcanoes erupt and decimate all non obsidanian/redbourne lifeforms. Near the eastern coast there is a charcoal forest (the charred burned remains of the former rainforest) they are usually in the north-east. The three basins, one of which is drained completely, are huge lake like bodies of Blood-Magma that are used by the obsidanians to give birth to their young, they are also places of worship for Ark-Kuth.

Ecosystem

There are only a few organisms that remain in the wastes. One of the last remaining creatures are Wraiths (huge reptilian predators that will eat almost anything made of meat) that lurk in the forest and eat any livestock and travellers that stray from the beaten path. The native four legged fire dragons often get into fights with the native Wraiths and often destroy local crop fields.

History

In 47 YAC the Obsidanians finally clawed their way out of the Evell Basin and a month later they harried the land but before that it was a beautiful rainforest and even had a few serene beach location which the Axlitans used for relaxation. In the modern day the wasteland has seen bloodshed like no other nation; Uprisings, Invasions and even the god of natures attempt to reclaim the land with her army. The final pure Axlitan was killed in 231 YAC.

Tourism

The Redbourne people are the only ones willing to visit due to the volcanic and dangerous nature of the Wastes. The obsidanians don't allow people from other countries to stay in towns so they created camping villages so they don't need to stay in the towns. Many people visit to see the basins, Volcano ranges and charcoal forests.
