The Great Library
An older Elven woman stands at a podium near the entrance, and is happy to tell you her name is Eydwen, as well as a little bit about the library. Left on Larissia by the god of knowledge and magic Aelar, The Great Library is the second largest building in Aleridge, right after Dronorim Hall. A wide tower reaches ten stories into the air, filled with books and tomes of nearly all of Larissia's works of art and literature.
Purpose / Function
Left by Aelar to be a place for knowledge to grow, spread and be safe-kept.
Architecture
One of the most unique buildings in all of Larissia, the tower stands taller than any other building of it's size. The architecture is full of strange asymmetrical waves and curves that make it look like it belongs in another plane of existence.
History
The library was about one-quarter full of books and tomes when Aelar presented it to The Founders. Rumor has it the library was filled to capacity in the late sixth century, but following a great fire, nearly half of the resources within were lost to the flame.
