Am I A God?

Fenen Solar System should not exist.

Well, specifically, Lapix Delta-9 should not exist to the extent as it does now.

It sits as the furthermost planet in a four planet system. The system used to hold six planets but its sun has burned through two innermost planets because of gravitational pull. This expansion of the sun allowed the furthermost planet to not be subjected to extreme freezing temperatures. In fact, despite its tidal locked status, it makes the far side of the planet inhabitable. Not necessarily livable, but you won’t immediately freeze to death the further you travel away from the ideal inhabitable zone.

Centuries of scholars have monitored the volatile sun and made their predictions on when it will finally consume Lapix Delta-9.

Lapix Delta-9’s continued existence has proven every one of those predictions wrong.

Ezra should not have survived the destruction of Earth.

The nuclear fallout from humanity’s agreement on mutual destruction should have turned their body into a radioactive corpse. It only made their body more resilient to radiation. When the solar system where Earth lived was torn apart from vicious solar winds, they should have frozen to death. They only gain a cold resistance and developed a persistent head cold. The combination of breached magma and the reduced atmosphere as the Earth tore itself apart should have ended their existence. It should have been the moment that they finally had an ending to a long, lonely life.

Yet these two unlikely events have occurred.

The Event Horizon Order, in typical doomsday cult thinking, sees these two unlikely happenings as a sign of the end times being near. That the universe birthed from the First Bang will be destroyed and made new in the Second Bang. Thus, repeating the cycle of birth, death, and rejuvenation for eternity.

Ezra wondered if they would be finally destroyed by this First Death or if they are cursed so thoroughly that even that will only lead to existing in the nothingness until some bored god creates the new universe.

Will the last of their sanity drain away? Will this count as ascension to godhood? Or will they just become an infinite being that remains trapped in a mortal body?

Ezra ponders these things as they sit in Oblivion’s Seat.
