Pindall's Balm

Pindall's Balm is a medicinal ointment made from the combination of ground root, fungi, and an exotic honey from Iothea Isle used to treat Sarcoxie .   As a child, Xenophon Pindall witnessed the decline and death of a family friend and Half-Ogres to sarcoxie. Since then, Xenophon devoted his life to the discovery of a cure for the disease to prevent the same torment happening to others. By growing a network of contacts Xenophon became acquainted with an expeditioner for the Orby's Borers mining company. Correspondence with his friend on Iothea Isle allowed Xenophon to procure many exotic samples of flora and fauna products. When a new species of honey producing bees were discovered on the Isle, Xenophon Pindall received the final ingredient need to develop the cure for the ogre's wasting disease.

Utility

Pindall's Balm is a yellow ointment applied directly to the skin on the recipients back and neck. The balm is massaged into the skin until the yellow pigment is no longer noticeable on the patients skin. Applications are required three times a day for one week, or until the symptoms of sarcoxie have subsided if the disease is in an advanced stage.

Manufacturing

The balm is crafted from the measured mixing of 4 ingredients: turmeric root, cordyceps fungus, water, and honey from the Green Ardent Bee.   One batch of ointment requires the same proportions of ingredients, but they can be scaled up or down to accommodate for ingredient availably as long as the proper balance is maintained:
  • 1 part ground turmeric root
  • 1 part ground cordyceps fruiting body
  • 2 parts honey of the green ardent bee
  • add water as necessary to maintain smooth consistency
