Ozark

God of Nature (a.k.a. Tunak)

One of The Divine Five, Ozark is the Father of Nature in all of its aspects. Often evoked by farmers wishing for good harvests, sailors praying for safe passage before a long voyage, or hunters desperate to catch game. Devotees of Ozark will may sometimes venture into the wilderness to purge any unnatural aberrations.   Theologians in Miras commonly accept the Akarren Deity "Tunak" to be an aspect of Ozark, though natives of Akaris would deny any similarity.   Tunak is the Akarren God of Werewolves, Beasts, and the Hunt. The Werewolves of Kalravani often attempted to appease Tunak via the hunting of man, and to be granted Tunak's blessing and favor in return.   Giridharan Kalravani believes he is Tunak's Chosen, one blessed with the divine right to hunt anyone he chooses. Tunak's Call, a yearning that speaks to all beast men, drives the werewolves ever north, into the unexplored wastes of the world, for some unknown purpose. While Giridharan was actually touched by God, his interpretation of The Call was lacking and led him astray. Through reintegration to the faith in Soala'Sar, Giridharan re-evaluated his gifts and converted into a Paladin of Tunak/Ozark.

A man holding a branch
"As Tunak’s Chosen I plan to herald myself as I spread his gift and shepherd his followers north to the Call."   Ambrose nearly shudders beneath Giridharan’s words. "Tunak’s… gift?"   "Tunak, God of the Hunt; he gave me this power. The divine right to hunt whomever I choose." As his voice begins to swell, Giridharan’s hands rise, half clenched into fists, as his bones begin to morph into more bestial claws, and his gaze becomes more savage.
