The Everlife Grove

Legends often speak of the Fountain of Everlasting Life, a spring which contains the source of an everlasting source of life energies. While many a fable details the existence of such a place, only a few depict the area surrounding this font. Said to be choked with flora and fauna, the Everlife Grove as it is often referred, to hides the Fountain of Everlasting Life from the gaze of wandering miscreants. And for those who do stumble into it's entrancing grasp, few make it out alive.

Geography

Part of the grove's hidden nature is due to the fact that it is surrounded by the Vast Timberlands, a massive expanse of trees that cover almost a quarter of the continent. Finding the Everlife Grove in this expanse would be difficult enough, but it is also rumoured that the grove does not entirely exist on the material plane, and that only a sliver on it's essence can be accessed by normal means. Some say the grove is a creation of the Feywilds, a machination of fey and faerie. Others say that is an extension of the Earthmother, and therefore exists on her primordial plane of Eaareth. The magically-inclined hypothesize that the grove is actually a magical pocket dimension created by an ancient being, and hides the resting place of said being. Whatever surrounds the grove will forever be surrounded in mystery, as those who stumble upon it's energies are often never heard from again.

Fauna & Flora

The flora depicted in tales of the Everlife Grove are often very symmetrical between versions of the tale. Always depicted as lush and never-ending, the grove's magical properties sustain the life of a massive amount of trees in a very small space. Dense brush full of bright fruits and berries decorate the lower regions of the grove.
The fauna is where things tend to get more creative. Several artistic creations that depict the grove in the Feywilds show a variety of weird mixed creatures, with faeries playing in the background. Creatures that shouldn't be alive due to genetic tinkering from it's denizens thrive thanks to the Fountain's immense power. The more druidic depictions show the grove to have many creatures of the surrounding forest, all living in harmony. Notably, in the centre of the grove is a massive tree, that is often depicted to be a dormant earthern primordial titan. In scholar depictions, the grove often displays a wide visualization of the food chain. They almost always display a wise and ancient chromatic dragon that slumbers in the grove, or rules over it.

Natural Resources

If rumour is to be believed, then the grove is home to the world's only known supply of Everlasting Life. Known as many different names in many different cultures (Nectar of the Earthmother, Elixir of Life, etc.), the concept is the same regardless - a source of immortality, a way to cheat death itself. There can be no price set on such a treasure. Those who set out to find it are either desperate, or very foolish.
