Star's Edge (Dagger)

Star's Edge is a golden-coloured dagger with a black handle. In direct sunlight, the whole dagger shimmers with a glittery sheen.
The handle is carved to show stars spiralling around it.
Star's Edge is currently owned by Casimir Kalchik, who has used its help to become the most well known Irontiz bard of the current age. He carries it with him everywhere, and it would take a whole lot to persuade him to part with the weapon, as it emits feelings of pride and joy when he plays with it in his possession, and feelings of anger and sadness if he considers selling it or leaving it behind.
When you attune to Star's Edge, it issues you with a command as if you were under the spell Geas: become famous in this city. This is thanks to its corruption by Tiamat.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The item was created by Selûne, and its affects are thanks to her blessing. The sentience was deliberately created, and is meant to inspire the user to do the best they can, although it can turn the other way and inspire malevolance in the user: Star's Edge craves any form of fame, and doesn't care whether that is fame or infamy.
