Ilmon

Ilmon are the demons that generally rule the barren wasteland of the steel ground between cities of Ostelan. Lesser demons flee in their presence, and any humanoids unfortunate enough to come across one are sure not to leave the encounter alive. They tend to hunt in the more remote parts of the wasteland, feeding off of lesser demons rather than the races that inhabit the Ostelian cities, so outlying villages and hamlets are at constant peril.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Ilmon have six limbs: two legs, two arms, and a large set of pincers. They are red, horned creatures with fur, although their pincer limbs have leathery skin. They have dragon-like clawed feet, and spines poke through their fur along their back.

Biological Traits

Ilmon live as long as they can keep feeding, the essence of other demons' expended lives prolonging their own. All ilmon are male.

Genetics and Reproduction

Ilmon reproduce by mating with lesser demons. All Ilmon are male, and the female they impregnate tends to perish during gestation, which lasts several months.

Growth Rate & Stages

Ilmon reach adulthood after only a few months, and grow to 10ft tall.

Ecology and Habitats

Ilmon create camps out of small hamlets that they destroy the inhabitants of. They live in abandoned structures and patrol the wastelands, taking over new hamlets on the way. They tend to keep away from the main roads between cities, making the roads safer from the Ilmon, but more often hunted by the lesser demons.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Ilmon feed off of anything they can find, although they prefer to feed on lesser demons rather than humanoids. Thanks to this, they act as a kind of police of demons, as any demon which goes against Asmodeus' wishes will be eaten by the Ilmon.
