Lafira
Lafira is a planet and the only astronomical object known to harbor life. According to the Elven Mythology, Lafira was formed over 40.000 years, however, according to radiometric dating estimation, Lafira was formed over 2 billion years ago. Lafira's gravity interacts with other objects in space, especially the Sun and the Moon. Lafira orbits around the Sun in 300 solar days, which is considered one year. Lafira's Moon orbits around Lafira in 30 solar days, the period of one month.
The current notation system for the world's calendar used mainly Af.L and Be.L. Before Liberation (Be.L) is used for years before the Liberation Era. Therefore it's counterpart After Liberation is used for years after the War Era. Sometimes years are noted with the direct era abbrevation. Hence, 1 SE (Settlement Era) is equal to 12.500 Be.L.
The Celestial Era is the oldest dated time period in Lafira. As its name implies, it covers mainly the time period of the Celestials. This era is dated 40.000 - 20.000 Be.L.
The Elven Era is dated 20.000 - 12.500 Be.L and it covers mainly the time period of the Elven. During the Elven Era, it is believed that the Elven were the only inhabitants of Lafira.
The Settlement Era is dated 12.500 - 8750 Be.L and it covers the first new settlements of several civilizations other than the Elven.
The Mana Era started with the very first discovery of Mana. It is dated 8750 - 3250 Be.L.
The War Era is a time peroid where almost all civlizations were at war. It is dated 3250 - 1 Be.L.
The start of the Liberation Era marks the most important revolution in the history of Lafira. It is the time period from the Liberation of the Dwarves until today. Therefore it is dated 1 - 1123 Af.L.
The distance from Lafira to the Sun varies. Lafira is closest to the Sun in Nunchun, resulting in summer. Lafira is furthest away in Lachun, resulting winter. The highest air temperature ever measured on Lafira was 68 °C; the lowest air temperature ever directly measured on Lafira was -124 °C.
Classical and modern Alchemy uses 45 different plants and 8 different mushrooms as brewing material.
Many animals and species are living in the wide lands. There are classified into 15 different groups: Amphibia (e.g. frogs), Arachnida (e.g. spiders), Aves (e.g. birds), Canidae (e.g. dogs and hounds), Elephantidae (e.g. elephants), Equidae (e.g. horses), Felidae (e.g. tigers and cats), Insecta (e.g. wesps), Pecora (e.g. goats), Pisces (e.g. fish), Primates (e.g. monkeys), Reptilia (e.g. lizards), Rodentia (e.g. rats), Suidae (e.g. boars) and Ursidae (e.g. bears).
Etymology
The name Lafira developed from the Haapilujaan words 'la', meaning first or only, and 'fira', meaning world or planet.Calender
The current calender of Lafira has been developed by the Elven and is considered as the oldest calendar. One calendar year contains 300 days, the amount of time the planet needs to orbit around the sun. These 300 days are equally split into 10 sections or months, resulting in 30 days a month, the amount of time the moon needs to orbit around the planet. Each month is divided into 5 weeks of 6 days. This has been done to worship the Elven gods that created the world and the universe.

Physical Characteristics
Shape
The shape of Lafira is nearly spherical. There is a small bulging around the equator and flattining at the poles due to it's rotation.Weather and Climate
Lafira's surface can be subdivided into specific belts of approximatley homogeneous climate. Ranging from the equator to the polar regions, these are tropical, subtropical, temperate and polar climates. The climate is colder at high altitudes than at sea level because of decreased air density.
Flora
There are thousands of different plants which can be found in Lafira. Scientists believe that only a small amount of plants have been discovered and recorded. There are certain plants that are unique to some Great Regions or weather phenomenon.Classical and modern Alchemy uses 45 different plants and 8 different mushrooms as brewing material.

Great Regions
Lafira is divided into 13 different territories called Great Regions. The borders of these are solely natural and no political powers are involved. Therefore, a Great Region is not owned or controlled by anyone. A Great Region does not have a capital city officially, although the biggest city within a Great Region is sometimes referred to as the capital.Chinnoa
