Arcane flux

Arcane flux is the dangerous magical energy which is formed from the energy field of the core. Arcane flux flows throughout the skies of Laeriss but certain areas contain higher amounts of flux. These areas are usually large open areas of sky and the flux interferes with any airships flying near where it is concentrated.

Manifestation

Arcane flux is usually not visible without special tools but its effects can be easily observed in the interception of airships. It is clear to even uneducated folk that certain areas are dangerous for airships and will cause them to crash or even worse be destroyed by The World Core (Energy field).

Localization

Arcane flux is usually localized in large open areas of sky, it also increases as you get higher up in the sky as well as being more prevalent in areas which are highly magical.
