Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Is tall and of a slender build, with a wiry kind of strength that comes from years of running through the jungles and climbing through trees and up to secluded mountaintops. Is very physically fit and very agile, but would not appear to be physically very strong; strangers who see her in passing would often make the mistake of assuming she could be easily subdued.

Apparel & Accessories

Often wears typical monk clothes - hill tribe style charcoal gray pants, sleeveless shirt (cream/Yale blue) with a vest (forest green/Prussian blue/Oxford blue), and a midnight black hooded tilmàtli (cape) with gold embroidery along the edges. These clothing items are usually well worn but clean and cared for, and are most often made out of cotton.
In addition to this, she wears foot wraps and hand wraps (charcoal gray/black), and a plain brown leather belt and chest harness with one shoulder spaulder. The leather belt and harness can hold her darts and kukri, and have additional small pouches and weapon slots for additional equipment.
Jewellery worn includes 3 earrings (described in piercings), 4 gold rings (one an engagement ring, two simple gold bands, and one of mysterious and unknown origin to most), and a small obsidian mirror on a leather cord around her neck.

Specialized Equipment

Has a special quarterstaff made from a gnarled limb from the most ancient of all the trees native to New Maztica's homeland, inlaid with shimmering stones that look like a combination of clear sapphire/lapis lazuli and dragon's breath opals - when it catches the light correctly it can look like it's alight with deep blue or bright red flames.

1463 - was visited by the Cat Lord, where he told her she was destined to be the Keeper of Stories, and to begin preparing to depart New Maztica for her own adventures
1464 - departs New Maztica
1469 - returns home for the first time to bring news, stories, and artifcats found thus far in her travels

Employment

Had no formal 'job' up until leaving New Maztica and the jungles surrounding it. Once out in the world however, she would take odd protection, guide, or research jobs to pay for food, lodging, and travel expenses.

Showed great promise and was chosen by the Cat Lord / Thunder to be the next Keeper of Stories at a relatively young age.

Taboos

As a part of how her people came to be where they are today, Tabaxi have a severe taboo against casting magic spells. Though not hostile towards spellcasters, Smoke is wary around them and unless she trusts the caster, will not willingly be subjected to any magic spells or their effects.

Is fluent in the native language of her people, described by others as just 'the Tabaxi language' or 'Tabaxi,' as well as Common, having been raised speaking both of these languages since birth.
As a part of her monk training with Thunder, she chose to study texts, manuscripts, maps, and any other available information from and about the Feywilds.
During this time, she also studied closely the histories and cultures of the four Elemental Planes, even studying a few relics brought back and kept by Thunder in his collections of artifacts and items brought back from his travels.
As a result of years of studying, Smoke has also become fluent in Sylvan and the Primordial language.
