Vith'Kree
The Vith'Kree, indigenous to the Wasteland teeming with endless undead hordes, survive by carving out their homes in the towering vertical cliff faces of the Starfall crater or within the jagged walls of massive concave depressions—formed when continental landmasses were violently torn from the earth and levitated above (Astral Descent.)
Vith'Kree cliffside settlements (warrens, commonly constructed from bone) cling perilously to the rock, either perched on stilts or embedded within the stone (resembling the ingenuity of cliff dwellers like the Mesa Verde culture.) Access to their dwellings is fiercely controlled; ladders and basket elevators are lowered only for allies, trade, or the desperate few allowed refuge. The perilous heights offer some reprieve from the undead, though the Vith'Kree know that nothing is truly safe in this grim and merciless world.
Vith'Kree, called "Bonemen" by outsiders, originated as mutations in the Wasteland's ash storms referred to as "Godblight" (as Starfall severed ties with the ancient gods.) They are known for brewing a unique alcohol, Vithka Chollai, which while a potent intoxicant, is repugnant to other species.
