Torchborne Tunnels

This complex catacomb of tunnels reaches underground, the network connects various natural caves, whereas the joining tunnels are clearly mined. The addition of torches to the tunnels means they have easy illumination, but these are not always lit. Mainly, navigating these tunnels is not that challenging with a map, but maps are scarce due to the lack of exploration. Their location far on the plains results in little passer-by's, and the mouths are somewhat obscured due to their low height, making them difficult to spot from a distance. Another major problem are the kobolds. It is thought that they live in the caves, but they are only really sighted on the surrounding plain. Despite this greater density of kobold encounters here, they do appear elsewhere. Unsurprisingly, this deters people from exploring the caves to make maps, overall resulting in difficulty to explore the caves.
