Opperâtre City

A lively, large town near Excabridge on the Plains. In the centre of the town, is the famous Opperâtre Theatre and Drama School, where a variety of plays, pantomimes, musicals, concerts and more run year round. The town focuses on educating and performing, and has a variety of specialised schools and halls to accommodate this aim. The town has 2 statues of the gods Fête and Vitenius, with dedicated squares to each statue, due to the higher focus on religion.

Demographics

Locals are of a variety of races, but most of the inhabitants are in the profession of acting, music, or public service. Due to the unreliability of income from acting, many in those jobs also seek part time jobs in the various shops in the town. However, around festivals, and during summer the theatre's are busy with many shows, and it is unlikely anyone in the performing arts sector is unemployed at those times of year.

Government

Fantina governs the town from her manor, where she gathers her council to discuss town matters.

Defences

The town has a sturdy stone wall around it, and the two gates are manned by police 24/7. Inside the town, police are often seen patrolling the streets due to Fantina's strict policies against crime.

Industry & Trade

The town receives income from tourism drawn in by the theatres. Fantina owns the main theatre, which results in an income for the town, and she uses this income to subsidise the schools, and invest in improving the architecture. Many small businesses also pay some tax to the town and so provides further income for the infrastructural improvement of the town.

Fantina's family has governed the town since it was constructed.
