Leauraz Lagoon

Water body derived from the Leauraz River, which flows creating a western border to Kryalon. The Lagoon, is situated in South West Kryalon, in close proximity to Whitescale Mountain, the nearest settlement is Stellapax Village. The lagoon is famed for the variety of mythical and deadly aquatic creatures that live in its waters, legends tell of sea serpents, giant sharks, crocodilians, sirens, merfolk, and even a kraken which are theorised to inhabit the infamous waters. The lagoon continues to a short run before passing into a vast series of coves (outside of Kryalon). The water in the lake is comparatively still in comparison to the river which feeds it, but the run feeding out has a strong current, the Lagoon acts as a natural impound and its depth prevents the flooding of the outbound run. The Lagoon is understandably unexplored due to the dangers lurking within, so not much is know about the underwater world hidden under its calm face. The lagoon's tides reveal the steep banks of the lagoon, a perilous fate to be trapped by those unforgiving walls at low tide, at the mercy of the horrors within. In scattered places, these walls have crumbled due to erosion, providing rocky banks which provide moors for those that can brave the waters and harbour again safely on the edged rocks. The run provides the safest crossing due to the shallower waters despite the faster currents.
