Frostbane Ridge

Frostbane Ridge marks the edge of the tundra, a wide cliff face sprawling most of the distance between the rivers. On the lower side is recorded the legacy of trees, buildings, and people that have fell to their demise down the sheer drop during icy landslides. Atop the cliff, there is no shelter from the biting northerly winds, and the prevalence of artic flora and fauna increases drastically. Temperatures vary from 0-15 ^oC below the wall, but can drop to -20, which feels much colder in the windchill. Those who have lived near the cliff-face are often stubbornly ignoring the threat of dropping from the tundra. Allegedly, a magic guild once existed along the ridge's edge, but vanished after a devastating avalanche claimed the ground it once stood on.
