"Gorn keeps taunting me: 'Why haven't you taken a city yet Worthag? Where's your strength?' I could take a city too, Gorn, if I were fighting the fairies in the south. These Northerners are not to be trifled with." -Worthag

Church forces lead by Worthag clash with cultic forces outside of Tal'Muir on the 1st of Protiae, 469 3e.   The forces there come to a brutal stand still for nearly two years. Worthag constructs siege towers and Trebuchet, but the Cultists of Tal'Muir had powerful wizards and sorcerers that created a barrier around the entire city.   Despite the siege, cultists were also able to smuggle supplies into the city using magic.   Worthag set his Magister regiment to work to attack the magical barrier, but they were unsuccessful.   After two years of waiting the cultists out, Worthag orders his men to begin digging tunnels underneath the city. Construction on the tunnels is slow, due to the hard rocky ground outside Tal'Muira. After seven months, the tunnels are finally completed.   Worthag sends a small squad of magisters and Not-Seen into the tunnels to assasinate the Cultist sorcerers inside. This tactic, however, does not work, and the Church forces in the tunnels were discovered and executed.   Worthag laid seige to the city for another year with little to no effect.   On the morning of 3rd of Prestus, 472 3e, Worthag prayed to Theandros to deliver the city to him. According to his own journal, Worthag prayed, "Lord, Thenadros, deliver this city to your people, and I will shave my head and become a minister."   That afternoon, a massive dragon came down from the Purian Wastes. Dragons had not been seen beyond the Achaen forest for nearly 300 years. The dragon flew over the city, breathing molten flames on the magical barrier protecting the cultists. The barrier broke, and the cultists inside were roasted by the dragon, who then took flight and was not seen again.   Church forces claimed the city. True to his word, Worthag shaved his head and immediately gave up his command, leaving back to Church controlled lands to serve out the rest of his days as a Minister.   Worthag and many of the men attributed the dragon to Theandros, though some believe the Cultists inside had done something to draw its attention.
