"The lowlands fell to these men, but they were lesser men with lesser gods. Theandros, it seems, is no match for the might of Enliel!" -Throgrim Korvat
On 1 Cruciae, 472 3e, Alexander Cruxan IV, Aurelius Tuscany, Tiberius Sellic, and Grugrani Windback combine their forces at Yeva and march east to the Oran Mountains. With over 100,000 men, Alexander plans to push through the mountains and into the cult controlled plains in the east. Dwarven forces from Damuris, however, ambush Alexander's forces in the mountains. Time and time again. In Prestus 473, the forces of Damuris are joined by a new alliance of cultists lead by Ifta Jal'Alakin. The new alliance of cultists is able to hold the Church at bay in the mountains for almost 5 years. In 477, Alexander decides to split his remaining forces and attempt to move around the Oran mountains through the Daktan Desert Valley to the south. The southern regiment is met once again by the forces of the cultic alliance. With no way to move forward through the mountains or through the desert, Alexander decides to go through the Udari River. He orders construction to begin on Cruxan's Crossing in 479 3e. Cruxan's crossing is completed in 483 3e, and Alexander leads a force through the mountains by ship to take Gnaryst, Marala Akash, and Ylzrath. On the 4th of Phos, 483, Alexander's forces finally make it through the mountain by way of the Udari River.
