"The marshes are no place for an Orc, and we certainly don't need your God here. Take your forces back where they came from, or by Arjunda, you will die here in the mud." -Ethku, Tales from the Second Crusade, Scribe Asai Myamoto

On the first of Makariou, 472 3e, Gorn leads his force of 25,000+ men into the swamps of Augaresh, intending to take Rakatan.   The Church forces never even see the city. They are routed again and again by cultic forces lead by the Nagaji leader of Rakatan, Ethku.   Ethku brilliantly leads Gorn on a chase deeper into the swamps. Gorn chases Ethku's forces some 250 miles further into Augaresh, skirmishing along the way.   After 3 months of being lead deeper and deeper into the swamps, Gorn realizes he and his men are lost.   With nowhere to retreat, Gorn and his forces follow Ethku's men all throughout the swamp, constantly being ambushed, for the next 12 years.   Each year Gorn's forces dwindle, some falling in battle with Ethku, others succumbing to the strange diseases of the Augaresh. As each year goes by, Gorn's forces dwindle by 2,000-3,000 men.   On the 29th of Cruciae, 484 3e, Gorn is finally captured by Ethku. The Orc Commander is executed in front of his own men, just before the second Crusade is called off.
