Bastile Mantion

The magnificent residence of one the most important Families of the North. The Family of Bastille had a great history with alchemy eventually that brought them to their peril.
Initialy the mantion was the summer retreate of the members of the family, while for the rest of the year the spent their time in the city of turtlepoint nearby or traveling. Most of the cities buildings and shops belong to them. As time progresed the members of the family slowly became more fond of a less social life. They started collected their propertie and inheritance to their mantion and considered theirselves special for their knowledge. The people of the citie could tell that the family was becoming more eccentric and the slowly decreased in numbers as less of them would wed and have children.   However thanks to their power, arcane knowledge and cunning they remaine and expremely influential presence for many eons. The tails of the things that they kept in the dungeons under the mantion became legendary although noone has ever confirmed these stories. The Bastile's always kept members of the citie close to them and hired them for varius tasks. After a burglary atempt that ended with a devourded thief in the hands of a preaty wierd creature th Bastile's became more suspicius and faded even more from the real life.   In the current day there is only one member of the family living in the mantion that seems to be fallign apart. On one knows what has happened to the rest of the members. The last member, Frederik de Bastile does not posses any magic powers but he is extremely well read regardingthe magical history of the family and their artifacts.

Alterations

The west wind was added about 300 years after the main building was build and consists of a glass greenhouse and a very comlex laboratory section. As the years have progressed many of the windows of the greehouse have been brocken and wierd plants are comming out. The Laboratory is sealed of even for the mebers of the family.

The Last Migration

The last Bastiles that posesed magical powers and were membrers of the Alchemists migrated years ago to Kamantu. The only ones remaining were Frederik de Bastiles straight ancestors that at the time were the more political and less studius part of the family. The last Alchemist before leaving sealed of the lab both with magic and physical means as was the alchemical tradition. They also instaled a series of protective measures that would ensure that only a person who respectde the magic would be able to reopen it. At the time a very old meber of the family did not want to leave and chose to be sealed of onto the vault among his beloved research. He was convinced that he would be able to sustain himself though his magic. After the sealing the familie remaining in the mantion heard some times some wierd noices but eventualy they stoped. That was the last sigh of life from Cardue de Bastile.
