Our world is a place of ruin. In all places that used to thrive now are deteriorating. Water is scarce and getting even more hard to find , rivers are drying out and lakes become marshes. Forests become sick and mountains stand naked under the merciless sun. Rare magical creatures disappear or become alienated from society. The knowledge they could hold for the world, now sealed of from the eyes of priers.   All races are unwarily fighting against their fate, staying in their cities or traveling far away for new lands. Of all the races the most hard hit are the elves, who currently are facing extinction since the death of the forest also brings an end to their lives. Most people of all races and professions are praying to Lord Baelon the protector of the world for a salvation. Legend says that under his rule this world was a paradise. Some say he is now dead or gone others say he is angry. His priest still carry his word and they still have powers and they are desperately using them to help around in hope that this will restore his kingdom and bring back faith into his name. Now folk are turning to other gods for protection and as usual in times of hardship they are becoming more suspicious of other races and more barbaric in ways. The great civilizations spread around the cosmos are slowly loosing their sine with small beacons of knowledge is a few large cities trying to keep them alive.   Instead of the arts and sciences to evolve now most popular professions are guard, hunter, medic,garbage collector, tax collector, cleaner while others like courtesan and thief are even more popular unofficial choices.   The times the legends describe are so far gone almost nobody believes they even existed. In such a setting the first earthquake took place.
