Soul Inscription

When the stitched were first created they could not accomplish much without a large amount of time and energy to train to perform even the most basic of tasks.

However through the creation of Soul Inscription the creators can infuse a small amount of data into the soul as it is fuzed into place. This data can jump start the learning process by unlocking small segments of the stitched previous memories.

These memories only contain the information that the previous body would perform automatically, such as the basics of locomotion and occassionally some fuctions that the soul used to perform without thinking, for example playing a music, dancing, or any other physical activity that was heavily practiced.

Soul inscription is carried out by melting three different catalists into a mix and sending strong pulses of electricty into the mixture through the use of computers to generate the code nessisary.

Once the mixture has successfully been programmed it is then poored over the Gem the moment a soul is forced into it. This creates a reaction that causes the mixture to become perminantly infused into the stone and should it be done correctly, greatly improve the function of the new stitched.

While ingenious and quick this process does pose the risk of the gem cracking thus releasing the soul and rendering the entire setup useless. Because of this it is increadibly rare for this process to be performed outside of govermental funding programs, normally the military, as all of the materials needed are rare and exceptionally valuable.

This method was created by the joint participation of the major nations in order to more quickly create the only weapons capable of fending off the blight.
