The Daenir Elves
On the estern slopes of the Adhar, just north of the Talam Wetlands, lies a settlement of elves that keep their distance from the cities and people of the Empire. They call themselves the Daenir, the Keepers. They make sure knowledge isn't lost, and that some magics remain. They stay out of the business of others, valuing their own over others. They are adept at divination and abjuration magics. They are most concerned with the history of the Elves, and don't trust humans at all. Anyone who leaves is no longer welcome, as they try to stay away from the Empire and its Empress.
Theirastra Amastacia used to be one of them, daughter to the elder Kapheus.

Rangers, wizards, druids, clerics
Government
They are ruled by a council of 5 elders - Mírae, Eléana, Weren, Straal, and Kapheus.
Defences
Magical barriers and traps, guardians.
Industry & Trade
Although the Daenir are largely self-sufficient, they do trade. When they do, however, it is with the rare occasional visitor or other settlements in the mountains like the druids or dwarves. They dislike the Empire. Sometimes they do send traders to the East to conduct trade with Komori.
Infrastructure
The village lies deep inside the forest, adjecent to the wetlands. They don't farm, but forage and trade and hunt. Many tasks are carried out trough the use of magic.

Magical items, potions, artifacts.
Guilds and Factions
There is a spot needing to be filled on the council, but it had proved difficult. The most obvious candidate isn't as conservative as the rest of them, and although they would like to simply choose someone else to
