A world reknown blacksmith and engineer, and proud grandfather to Lena Ironfist of The Six, Elder Thrain Forgebeard rules Frostforge Hold with a fair but firm approach.
Like most dwarves he is stout and sturdy, with weathered hands that bear the marks of countless hours spent at the forge. His long silver beard is a symbol of pride that flows down his front like a cascade of well-tended silver.
His attire typically consists of sturdy work clothes adorned with intricate dwarven patterns and symbols in a more traditional sense than most dwarves as Thrain values traditional dwarven culture above all else
Though he is world reknown as a blacksmith/engineer, Thrain will only create works for the Dwarven community unless specifically assigned a piece to work on by the Council of Elders in Frostholme, of which he is a member. He is credited with creating the technique that allows Frostwood Sap to be fused with Iron to create Froststeel and to this day is the most advanced in the creation of Froststeel items, though his Grand Daughter Lena Ironfist is catching up to him by the day.
