Tiefling

A pact with a demon can bring you a tiefling. Sometimes the taint of that decision rides the family line for generations. Tieflings, though often not the actual pact makers, suffer the consequences of those decisions.
Tieflings constant fight off aversion from others. On a good day they are just avoided, and on a bad day they are running from a frightened mob. Protection of like minded individuals who understand their situation is often the only peace they recieve.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Skin tone varies from a black grey, to a dark red.  Their hair is dark, ranging from black to auburn and always with two horns sticking out.  The horns vary in size and curve, but they all have a tail that ends in a flexible spade.

Genetics and Reproduction

You are the result of a human bargaining with a devil.  Like all near sighted desires, this could have been very long ago.  Now the family line is tainted with the curse, which will pass on to any that decide to join the bloodline.  While this curse does not manifest with all the children in the family line, it happens often.

Growth Rate & Stages

While tieflings mature at the same rate as humans, the often live beyond a century but not by much.

Ecology and Habitats

There is no direct place for you on the material plane.  It is obvious to all that you are tainted with devil blood.  This does lead tieflings to help each other out on occasion, but the good will is often short lived.
