The Third Path

For the monks that do not seem to align with the Temple of Light or Shadow, there is another way. A few isolated monasteries exist that practice the balance of the elements. While most lead this attempt by trying to make as little impact as possible, others deem this can only truly be accomplished by working to stop one side from dominating the other.
The second likely form of 'The Third Path' are the individuals who find themselves excommunicated from the temples.  The most prominent is a group of monks who have become vigilantes and broken down their techniques into drunken fighting.  These individuals are a group in so much that they aid each other in their drunken fury for revenge of injustices.  While this is normally looked at as a nuisance group, their impact and dedication to their task has made them a problem for many a ruler.

Structure

While often referred to as 'The Third Path', the actuality is that this is a loose collection of non traditional monks.  Several monasteries and smaller organizations will claim they are 'The Third Path', which is true in all cases.
