Goliath

A remanant of giants that were forced high into the mountains during the prolonged war against man. This hard and large folk still bear halmarks of their elemental brethren, sometimes with a very large chip on their shoulder.
Adventurer goliaths often find themselves protectors of the smaller races. They do not pretend to fit into the tiny constructs of the little folk and will often point out how spacious is their current environment.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Standing around nine feet and weighing over six hundred pounds can leave you intimidating before you even look at someone.  Goliaths often tattoo their bodies with great deeds and accomplishments, the untried being blank stone grey canvas.  Goliaths do not grow hair and do not have a gender.  Most will assume the male term, as their intimidating physical bodies most resemble males of other species.

Genetics and Reproduction

Goliaths do not reproduce, they are reborn.  When an older goliath dies, a new goliath arrives.  This cycle leads them to a fixed number, but the new goliath is under no obligation to serve the same clan.

Growth Rate & Stages

Goliaths are reborn as adults, and remain that way until they perish.

Ecology and Habitats

Most live in tribal nations in the tallest mountains.  They search out food and track the natural game.  Tribes defend their own members, but often preventing a goliath from dying in heroism is received as a terrible fate.  Goliaths only desire is to be written and remembered of, as a great defender, leader, or slayer in their life.  Taking that away from a goliath is a terrible fate indeed.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Food, and lots of it.  The quality of the food rarely matters, and the hardiness of their stomachs is only rivaled by dwarves.
