Elves

Elves have pushed themselves into every society across the planet. Their massive forest homeland is known across all civilizations. Though their influence is far and wide, their numbers dwindle quickly as you leave the Lothdratic region.   Elves bear different interests, but all of them lead to desire of mastery. Some wield magic with ease, and others have quick hands and feet. Elves find themselves welcomed for their versatility.

Basic Information

Anatomy

From the thin and tall high elves, of magic prowess, to the short and tan wood elves, with beast and bow.  The elves boast almost every region, and even most planes, as a home location.  Some are not well received, like the drow, but almost every elf has proven useful.

Genetics and Reproduction

A mated pair produce a child, but on occasion an elf can perform a ritual to donate some of their life to the creation of a half-elf with a non elf partner.

Growth Rate & Stages

Elven children grow slower than tree's and mature in perspective to adulthood being between eighty and a hundred years.  Its not uncommon to see a small elf and find out that they are old enough to be your parent but with the mind of your youngest child.  Elves continue with this slow aging process until they see up to five centuries.

Biological Cycle

After reaching adulthood, elves are expected to perform service for the nation of their birth.  This is often a form of military service, but on occasion can take different forms.  Elves that do not participate in this practice are considered immature and will generally not be allowed to make major decisions until they gain maturity.
