The Waste
The Waste is a drug house in eastern Iklada, near the ghettos but far enough for rich people to still want to go. This is where people can go to safely consume the three drugs that exist in the kingdom without any persecution. For a small fee, patrons are able to use as much of their drug of choice, provided that they stay in the building and are cleared before leaving. Patrons are given their choice of Crimson, Frenzy, and Chrono as their choices. Crimson is very comparable to weed, though existing in more of a crystalline form. Frenzy is similar to acid, as a tablet that makes you more energized and is quite a body high for the user. Chrono is the most powerful of the three, as a black powder that is supposed to make you "experience time." That is it's only description.
From the outside, The Waste is nothing special, just one of many buildings along the streets of Iklada. On the inside, there are four distinct rooms. The entrance contains just a desk for the person working front and the security, the crimson room has lounging chairs and is full of smoke (common way to take Crimson). The frenzy room is much emptier, allowing the users to be adventurous and run around. The chrono room is similar to the crimson room, but with less smoke and a large water fountain in the middle. Most users are to be found staring at the water fountain.
Socially, The Waste is somewhat controversial. Iklada recognizes the business that it brings to the city and how it is helpful for keeping the drug users off of the streets where they could be a danger to themselves or others. Naturally, the higher social classes do not see it like that, rather as a scourge on the city. Luckily, Iklada has been an impoverished city since its creation anyways so this is not a problem usually. Many upper middle class people who use the drugs recreationally will try to visit at some point, and they can always be found doing the smallest amount in the crimson room (like little white bitches). The Waste was created originally to keep the people safe when using, and succeeds in that.
The Waste is a social setting, meaning that (in a game setting), players could go here to talk to people and get information. However, there is the impact of the drugs to take into consideration. Some patrons can be found here regularly, others may use it as a meeting spot, some may decide to abandon it completely.
