Sewer Rumours

Little kids were told not to play near the sewer drains. Parents said it was unclean. Kids whispered to each other behind cupped hands of tentacles that wrapped around your legs and pulled. Teenagers laughed this off, but shared nervous glances looking for reassurance. Eyes were averted from the water where dark serpentine shapes curled.
