The Seldarines Table

The Seldarines Table is a constellation in the shape of a circle that stays in the sky all year however once a year during roughly the 3rd week of Siccabitur 6 other stars gather around it which are said to be 6 major member of the Seldarine, the elves pantheon of gods. Over the course of a week long celebration the 6 stars appear around the circle or "table" and over the course of the week they slowly leave to drift out into the rest of the sky, 1 leaves the first day, 2 the next, and another one the next, then one leaves the next day, then the last two, one the largest and the other the smallest out of the six, stay around the table for one last day before on the final night of the festival they both leave. This is by far the most common interpretation and the constellation however different cultures, especially those that lack elves hold different beliefs about what these stars mean.

Geography

The constellation is naturally beautiful with the consistent size of the stars that make up the circle and the varying sizes and brightness of the ones that surround it during the festival, it is also relatively isolated from the rest of the stars in the sky making it stand out.

History

The elves held the first festival they called the "The Meeting of the Seldarine" so long ago even the oldest elves and the most ancient manuscripts can't say when they started.

Tourism

Elves will often leave their homes for the week during the festival of "The Meeting of the Seldarine" to go to settlements primarily populated by elves where the celebrations will be bigger and better. Some non-elvish humanoids also go to these settlements to simply pay witness to the amazing festivities which can include things like magical fireworks, traditional elvish desserts and foods, devout worship, and elvish elders passing on ancient knowledge to the current next generation.
