Shadowbane

Once the wing of an angel, Shadowbane has served Knights since the origin of the Champions. It acts as host to the Clarion Stone, which allows it to manifest those demigod-like powers through its blade and provide counsel to its user.
While ordinarily a poor looking, rusted blade, upon the reception of the Clarion stone, the weapon becomes an ornate, lightweight and razor sharp one handed saber. The blade becomes an unbreakable metal that never dulls no matter how much punishment it takes while the hilt becomes an indestructible protective barrier, in laid with gold.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The Weapon ordinarily looks like a rusty sword made from iron and bone, but upon placement of the Clarion stone on its pommel, the sword refurbishes and becomes an ornately crafted one handed saber. Upon command, Shadowbane's influence also extends to within the user, giving the Knight the aspects of an angel.

Significance

Shadowbane is the conduit through which the Clarion Stone manifests its power for the Knight.
