After a year of investigation, the Inquisition take matters into their own hands, and begin a systematic and violent takeover of the Tetrarchy, removing the Vassal-Priests and the Crimson Flame through force and torture.

When the Inquisition was formed, it was made to put lesser priests and territories in line with the Tetrarchy and the nobility it was aligned, so this pandemic of Religious Uprising was the perfect situation to set them to work, and as they only reported directly to the Crimson Flame, no one else knew what was going on behind the curtain; even the Flame himself at times he only found silence when he asked what was going on for months unending.   What no one knew, it was that the Inquisition was dealing with prophetic visions and Religious Visions on their own ranks. One of the Chief Inquisitors, Marcos Quijano de Orquemada, had taken over the investigation, and ordered the ties with the Crimson Flame be cut off, for he believed "Demons had taken the souls of the Faithful in higher status", but, he believed he could cleanse the church.   In several silent, but bloody coups, assaults, and attacks against several priests of the Faith, he began to replace those he found guilty. The priests eventually asked for aid, and soon enough a civil war began in Rossette, with priests of the Tetrarchy, and soldiers of the Royal Guard attacking Inquisitor Houses, but found that they were being aided by the peasantry, as well as a few nobles with more religious scruples.   Eventually, the Crimson Flame was assassinated in the middle of a sermon in the Temple Anglion, in Rossette, and among the terrified nobles, Marcos took on the Mantle of the Flame.
