The Tetrarchy of Faith

"In the Name of the Iron King, in the Name of the Silver Queen, and in Name of the Golden Prince, we call these lands ours by right, by might, and by faith!..." Alfredo de Roseton, Grand Bishop of the Crimson Faith

Structure

The Crimson Faith main spiritual and hierarchical leader is called The Voice of the Three, nominally named The Crimson Flame, due to the red robes it must wear, as well a dominion over divine Piromancy. Lesser priests are usually named Iron Vassals, Silver Vassals, or Golden Vassals corresponding to their main focus, but only one of them can be the Voice of their god, usually picked through by vote, or by deed. Acolytes are taken from schools, or from orphanages.

Public Agenda

To support the expansion of the Crimson Faith, eventually expanding the influence and power of the Crimsom Cities.

Assets

The Church -especially the priests of the Iron King- hold several garrisons and temple-fortresses along the road in between the Crimson States; the Silver priests hold several banks and temples of learning; and the Gold priests, despite their name, live in more humble abodes, usually prefer to live among the peasantry, and attending to the orphanages and houses of healing.

History

The Tetrarchy has followed the people of the Westlands ever since their lands collapsed under the seas by the Sacred Storm, heralded by the Crimson Flame Hernandez Carrasco. Ever since, the Faith has help expand their power in Karash, and even give the tools and weapons needed for the initial military expansion.   Armed with Faith magic, steel, and hundreds of well-trained men, the Crimson Crusade initially was a success, taking the West of the Midlands by force, and even when under the attack from the Northern Kings, the Faith was able to keep cohesion, and made examples of captured druids and heretics.   While today the animosities between the Crimson Faith and the other priests of the different religions in Karash has fallen, there is still a bit of mistrust due to the past expansion, and continual growth of the Tetrarchy.   See also, the timeline of the Crimson Crusade

Mythology & Lore

According to Legend, the Iron Lord and the Silver Queen first gave birth the Golden Prince, but they themselves did not created the world; in most tales, the gods heard the Song of Men, and "searched for them in the Fog of Night".   When they found the Humans, they called to them in their dreams at first, and then through angels made of Fire.

Divine Origins

It is believed that the Crimson Faith started in the Westernlands, but it is unknown -even amongst the Faithful- in what place of those blasted lands started.

Tenets of Faith

Laws of Iron   1.- From Iron comes Will, from Will comes Discipline, and from Discipline comes Strength 2.- Trials and Tribulations tempers Iron, and hammers out impuritues; always seek to better yourself. 3.- The First hammering of the Iron is the most important, as it marks the first step towards Purity.   Laws of Silver   1.- Silver shines forth, even after centuries; always keep knowledge in high regard 2.- Silver warns of poison; always be on the lookout for those that betray you. 3.- Silver melts in the heat, but hardens in the cold; love your partner with passion, and mourn your partner in silence.   Laws of Gold   1.- Gold always shines; hope and kindness must always prevail 2.- Gold always stays pure; every action you make must always be on good conscience 3.- While Gold is not brittle, it may bend; adapt to every situation, but never break down.

Worship

Most of the Temples of the Tetrarchy of Faith are found in the Crimson City, but the Faith has bled over the Valley Princes somewhat, and even in the lands of the North it has found a foothold with the peasantry, especially the worship of the Golden Prince.

Priesthood

Rarely are there any priests of the Tetrarchy, except for the Voice of the Crimson Flame, known only as Saint Cuthbert, an elderly priest who has been the Head of the Faith ever since the first days of the Crimson Crusade, and still offers praises to the gods.
