Black with silver trim Main troop type is heavy infantry armed with pikes and shortswords. They tend to use the conical helms with noseguards. The Knights of Shon-Tur are the heavy cavalry of the army and they have a few units of griffin-mounted knights. The Knights of Shon-Tur are iconic elite soldiers and the pride of the nation. Shon-turian forces use very few ranged troops, preferring to use the pikemen to anchor their forces with discipline and a defensive posture and then relying on the overwhelming speed and power of their knight's as a hammer to the anvil of the pike's formations. Likewise Shon-Turian troops have few clerics or divine casters. They do, however have a tradition of mixing arcane casters in with troop formations and some of these battle mages are quite formidable.
