Black Powder

Fury of the Gods

After many months of researching the ore, Jadora had discovered a way of making it safer. By slowly and carefully grinding it to a powder, Jadora could make this "Boomstone," as she called it, much easier to handle. She had also discovered a few simple ways to use the Boomstone, primarily throwing small chunks of it at the various dangerous creatures she encountered in the mines. Once she had perfected her discovery, Jadora presented it to the rest of her clan. Although they were appreciative of her work, Jadora's clan did not see the Boomstone as useful. That is, except for Jadora's brother, Lokug, who believed it could save them. Jadora and Lokug left the mountains and their clan a few weeks later to form The (Industrial) Revolution after Lokug discovered a way to create a substance similar to the powderized Boomstone without needing the ore.

Utility

Black powder is used to create explosives and as a propulsive agent in firearms.

Manufacturing

Black powder is created by slowly grinding down boomstone into a powder. Synthetic black powder is created by grinding up demon horns and mixing it with red dragon blood.
Inventor(s)
Jadora Stoneheart originally created black powder. Lokug Stoneheart discovered how to make synthetic black powder.
Access & Availability
Traditional black powder can only be created using Boomstone, so it is fairly rare. Synthetic black powder requires similarly difficult to acquire materials and is equally rare.
Complexity
Black powder is a slightly more complicated version of boomstone, requiring slightly more energy to blow up.
Discovery
Black powder was originally discovered by Jadora Stoneheart. Her brother, Lokug Stoneheart, later discovered a way to create synthetic black powder.
