Agrågōr

The Broken Mountain, Korlan’s Peak, Earth Lord’s Keep...Agrågōr has many names, And many have been lost to time. This giant mound of granite and sandstone is a monument to all of the Karnica Stretch and it’s people. It is important to the peoples of the Stretch, being constantly fought over again and again.

Geography

The mountain is a mass of granite and sandstone, rising 2,984 ft. into the air. The area around it is moist and humid, due to the water flowing from its peaks. This creates a lush, fertile land to contrast the dry, scrubby grasslands around it. In the center of the mountain is what appears to be a massive crater, and it is in this crater a floodplain so fertile, it’s almost a marshland. The top of the summit is a flat plateau, with nothing on it but sandstone, dust, and a few hardy shrubs.

Fauna & Flora

The surrounding land is home to many a grazing beast, big and small. Herds flock to Agrågōr for food and water, from miles around the Stretch. Predators are also quick to follow, eager to hide in the vegetation that surrounds the mountain. Birds are found all around its peaks, with the mountain being a suitable nesting spot. Also commonly found nesting on the mountain are Gryphons.   There is vegetation here that can be found nowhere else in the Stretch. Trees with branches that form bowls of leaves, shrub the size of houses, and flowers that bear fruit are only a few of the area’s beautiful plant life. Waterlilies, willow trees, cattails, ferns the height of trees, horsetails, many types of berries, and sugarcane are also very common.

Natural Resources

The mountains lands are the perfect place for fields, and to this day these fields feed much of the Strech’s people. The floodplain yields tons of food every year and seems almost eternal in its fertility. Farmers also harvest and cultivate the sugarcane that grows in on the banks of the river. Herders also favor the mountain, as the fertile land also makes for good grazing. Whether there are valuable resources within the mountain is unknown by most, as many of the religions forbid desecration of the inner mountain as it is holy.
