Worldember 2021
“I pledge to write 10,000 words of worldbuilding during December!”
Goals
I will expand the area of Kaigan, mainly focussing on expanding details within already existing articles and more general parts of the world like religion, cities and regions. Because I want to expand the world my campaign is set in to make it easy for myself so I have a better overview of the region at large and not just the village my players are currently in.Kaigan is the region my D&D 5e players are currently playing in. It is a high fantasy world with a good amount of magic and a slowly rise in technology. While the campaign only started a month or so ago I have been slowly filling itterations of this world both in last Summercamp and last Worldember.
Within the region of Kaigan I want to work more specifically on parts of my players backstory and give them more information about the world. This is also a way to ask some more questions to my players and have them come up with ideas for their character backstories. Besides that I want to expand on different cities and regions that exist so I can better improvise information when needed as I have a better understanding of the different areas within Kaigan. If I don't want to write those things, I still have a list of ideas introduced in other articles that can be further worked out.

Human Survival Guide is a world I'm exploring through stories. Each article is based on a story the main alien protagonist tells about his human travel companions as he explores various concepts about humans and earth. In basis it's a sci-fantasy world, with emphasis on the role of humans as a newly discovered species and less about the alien society that has already existed for a long time.
As a backup project I can work on Human Survival Guide, but this will probably not be the main focus. Articles made for this world are based on inspiration I find in weird human things. I have also a list of concepts already introduced, but not yet written out if I need more inspiration.

Okay, this was stressing me out way too much and while it's still a cool idea and I might write this at some point, it will most likely not be this WE so I have deleted this world to force myself to stop stressing about it and just go and write.

Homebrew *and* sci fi? Nice! I like the idea of expanding your world based on player backstories. That's a neat twist - giving players more while making sure you have plenty to write. I will admit I'm very curious (and going to go read) your Human Survival Guide.
Thanks! Human Survival Guide is my fun weird world, I love writing in it. I hope you like it too when reading ^^
I very much enjoyed the Human Survival Guide. 'Humanity Fuck Yeah' and 'earth is space australia' are two of my favorite tropes.
Yay! Glad you like it, feel free to follow the world if you want to read more in the future as uploads there are really irregular as it's just whenever I have an idea and enough inspiration to make it :)
