The Unforgettable Mistake
A lot of people learned that day to have a bit more trust in one anotherWrite about a conflict in your world known for being unprovoked or unfair.
While the small mining village of Tywe does not has much history that’s worth talking about, during the sixty-ninth century there was one small conflict that was worth noting in the history books.
History
Cause
During the winter of 6847 it happened that the mayor was absent from the discussion without notifying anyone. The people of Tywe assumed that he was sick and went to check on him, but he didn’t appear to be home. The following week the mayor didn’t show up in the tavern, which he normally did, and that Sunday he still wasn’t present at the town discussion.
Engagement
After a full week of absence, the people of Tywe started to get anxious and one of the more well known miners took the stage. He tried to calm the people and looked for an explanation, but the people did not listen when he tried to defend the mayor. Some of the farmers took it upon themselves to find answers and went to the house of the mayor, who still wasn’t home. Angrily they broke down the door and various windows to get into the house to destroy parts of the furniture and leave various messages saying that he didn’t have to come back as mayor.
Conclusion
On a Wanderday a little over two weeks after the mayors first absence, the mayor went back to the tavern, furious about why his house was destroyed only to meet furious villagers who started to question his every move. The next day an emergency towns meeting was called and it took multiple hours before both parties were calmed down enough to hold a proper discussion. In the end the mayor had to apologize as he had forgotten to mention that he would be traveling to the capital for some important business and would be gone for about two weeks.
While the villages were angry for a while longer, they also had to apologize that they had destroyed his house and that they hadn’t trusted the mayor enough to know that he wouldn’t abandon the village like that.

Historic context
It wasn’t long after the creation of Tywe that this happened. Because the village was so small, it had a very tight feeling of community. Everybody knew everybody and it was very common to know exactly what everyone was up to on a given day. At night people came together in the one tavern that existed in the village to drink together and talk about the happenings. Every Sundays at noon everyone came together on the market square to have a village discussion with each other about what the next steps would be. These discussions were always lead by the mayor to make sure everyone would get an even say in the discussion and decisions would be fairly made.

I'm sure the mayor didn't forget to mention when he was going away on business after that! Oops! I'm glad that no one was actually hurt in this conflict.
He was indeed sure to remember that for a long time. Thanks for the comment!
